Zaira, originally from Venezuela, is a seasoned attorney with a diverse background in both her native Venezuela and the United States. Graduating from Andres Bello Catholic University in Caracas, Venezuela, she initially developed a strong passion for child custody matters and worked extensively with victims of domestic violence, advocating for their rights in custody battles and divorce proceedings. Through this work, she honed her skills in emotional intelligence and compassion, ensuring she could provide practical and sensitive advice during challenging moments.

In the United States, Zaira remained unwavering in her commitment to aiding victims of crimes through her focus on immigration law. With a dedication to cases involving VAWA, U visa, and T visa applications, she tirelessly advocated for individuals affected by domestic violence, abused children, and survivors of human traffickingIn the United States, dedicating herself to securing legal remedies for their plight.

Zaira pursued further legal education in the United States, graduating Manga Cum Laude from Loyola University of New Orleans College of Law, and became a licensed attorney in Louisiana. Zaira then embarked on a clerkship with a judge in a Family Court in Orleans Parish in New Orleans, where she handled cases ranging from protection orders for dating violence, sexual abuse and domestic violence, to custody disputes, including those under Louisiana’s Post-Separation Family Violence Relief Act, as well as divorce and child support matters.

Having lived in four countries—Venezuela, Ecuador, the United Kingdom, and the United States—Zaira intimately understands the challenges immigrants face, she possesses a profound understanding of the significance behind obtaining a work permit or approval of an immigration petition. She brings a unique perspective to her practice, having experienced firsthand the challenges of exile and the oppression of a dictatorial regime. Her personal journey has instilled in her a deep empathy for immigrants facing similar struggles. Drawing from her own experiences, Zaira is dedicated to providing compassionate and effective representation to those seeking refuge and a better life in the United States. She advocates tirelessly for family-based petitions, humanitarian relief, citizenship applications, prioritizing the reunification of families and protecting vulnerable individuals seeking refuge. Outside of her legal practice, Zaira holds a Black Belt Third Dan in Karate-Do, from the Ryobu-Kai school of Karate, infusing her approach with pragmatism, discipline, and resilience. This martial arts background shapes her legal strategies, ensuring precision and effectiveness in each case.
