Attorney Rufat earned her Juris Doctorate degree with honors from the Interamerican University School of Law in San Juan, P.R., and was admitted to the Puerto Rico State & Public Notary Bar in 2007. In 2008, Ms. Rufat passed the Federal Bar and was admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. In addition to her law degree, attorney Rufat pursued a bachelor’s degree in Labor Relations from the University of Puerto Rico and a master’s degree in Education from Texas State University.

Having spent her first decade of her career as a Trial Attorney in the Federal Litigation Division of the Puerto Rico Department of Justice, Ms. Rufat has vast experience advocating for individuals’ rights. In 2018, Ms. Rufat relocated to the continental U.S. where her immigration journey started, appearing on behalf of many individuals before the EOIR Immigration Court & USCIS. Attorney Rufat is passionate about representing immigration rights and is committed to helping individuals navigate their path toward their immigration goals.
