Samantha Swantek received her J.D. from the University of Colorado where she focused on immigration and human rights.
Since 2019, Samantha has helped clients navigate a variety of immigration-related legal issues including asylum, naturalization, adjustment of status, VAWA, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, T-Visa and U-Visa. She has represented clients in hearings with USCIS and EOIR. Currently, she is on the Humanitarian Team at La Liga Defensora where she focused on U-Visa petitions for victims of crimes.
Prior to joining La Liga, Samantha has worked in the non-profit sector, for the Colorado State Public Defender, and clerked in Colorado’s District Problem Solving Courts. She also worked for the ACLU’s Jails Project which ensures the civil and human rights of incarcerated individuals.
