BAR #24096932

Katie was born in central Illinois and moved to Louisiana, where she attended Louisiana Tech University and graduated with a degree in psychology. Following her graduation, she moved to New Orleans to teach elementary school students. It was there—where she saw a grandmother desperately trying to adopt her grandchildren to save them from a life-threatening situation—that she decided to attend law school. It has always been her goal to bridge the gap between people who need help and the justice system.

Ending her career in elementary education, Katie and her husband returned to her husband’s hometown to attend Texas A&M University School of Law. She graduated in April 2018, just four months after the birth of their first son. They welcomed their second son in 2022.

Throughout law school and immediately following graduation, Katie practiced family, criminal, and labor law in North Texas. In April 2019 she began practicing immigration law exclusively. Katie has successfully filed Writs of Mandamus in federal court, drafted appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals and Administrative Appeals Office, obtained green cards and naturalization certificates for diverse clients, and zealously advocated for her clients in immigration court. It is an honor to serve members of the community by finding ways to achieve the safety and security that comes with deferred action, lawful permanent residence, and citizenship.
