Kamal is a first-generation Iraqi-American, born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. He moved to Los Angeles after law school because of the vast diversity the city brings. Los Angeles is a true representation of America.

Kamal always knew he wanted to be an attorney since his father first asked him what he wanted to do with his life. Growing up in an increasingly anti-Arab world, Kamal experienced many instances of discrimination and hatred because of his ancestry. These experiences motivated Kamal to become an attorney, and he wears his heritage as a badge of honor. Kamal wants to help others who do not have the same opportunities he was afforded.

He is aware that there are many families with stories similar to when his grandfather decided to escape the Sadam Hussein regime, coming to America for a better life. There are also other families who have been in America much longer, but they still feel the justice system treats them unfairly. That is why Kamal believes representing his clients is the best way to give back to his community, so it can grow and flourish in a fair and equal justice system.
