I was born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico. I graduated from high school (Colegio Ponceño) in 1981. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from University of Puerto Rico – Mayaguez in 1986. I earned my Juris Doctor degree from Catholic University of Puerto Rico – Ponce in 1990. I was admitted to practice law in Puerto Rico 1990. I earned my Master’s in Law degree (LL.M) from Tulane University in 1994. I practiced law in Puerto Rico for close to 31 years, focusing in the areas of civil law, civil litigation, administrative law and appellate law. In 2021, I moved to the United States. From May 2021 to present I have practiced immigration law in several states in the US. I moved to Houston in September 2023, practicing immigration law exclusively in the State of Texas. The immigration law practice has been challenging and rewarding at the same time. It has a social and human component that makes it unique from other areas of law that I have practice in the past. I look forward to keep helping people to pursue a better life in the United States.
