I am a 2nd generation American. Before graduating from Rutgers School of Law – Newark in Newark, NJ, I earned my Bachelor degree in Philosophy and Religion with a minor in pre-law from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, FL. While attending law school, I worked at the King’s County Prosecutor’s Office and the Bergen County Public Defender’s Office. I was admitted to practice law in the State of New York in 2013.
I exclusively began practicing immigration law in 2006. Over the duration of my career, I have defended clients in immigration court in asylum, cancellation of removal, adjustment of status and bond proceedings. I have also helped clients with family and employment immigration matters, as well as U-visas, citizenship, VAWA, SIJS, motions to reopen, reconsider and terminate immigration proceedings. Additionally, I have counseled clients in pursuing post conviction relief.
I was successful in appealing decisions of Immigration Judges to the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) and the Ninth Circuit of Appeals.
