Prior to joining La Liga Defensora Yadirys worked for Community Legal Aid in Massachusetts as a generalist, assisting victims of crime related to civil legal matters. Yadirys graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in 2019 with two areas of focus: immigration and social justice.
During her time as a law student, she was a summer intern at The Door in New York and Ayuda in Washington DC. Yadirys also participated in Health Rights Clinic and DC’s Semester in Practice program, where she worked for Kids in Need of Defense.
