Todd has been practicing criminal law since 2014. While still in law school, he developed a passion for criminal defense and began clerking with the Venture County Public Defender’s Office, where he was tasked with filing over 1,000 Prop 47 petitions. In 2015, Todd was hired full-time by the Ventura County Public Defender’s Office as a Deputy Public Defender. In 2018, he began a criminal defense private practice with his wife. He joined the Matian Firm in December of 2019. Todd has practiced in six different counties and handled hundreds of cases, ranging from simple misdemeanors to serious felonies to post-conviction cases. He has taken dozens of cases to jury trial, receiving numerous not guilty verdicts and dismissals along the way. Todd is dedicated to fighting for his client’s rights and getting them the best possible results, regardless of the type of case.
