Kelsy studied at Western State College of Law and graduated in 2019 in the top 20% of her class with multiple honors. Kelsy was a member of the Honors Moot Court Team and Chairman of the Honors Moot Court Team.
Kelsy grew up in an area of high crime and poverty. Her mother, her father and several of her friends and relatives are criminals and have always been involved in criminal law proceedings. Kelsy’s background led her to maintain a passionate passion for criminal law. Kelsy believes in rehabilitation and that all people deserve a trial attorney determined to protect their rights and freedoms.
Prior to joining the Matian Firm, Kelsy worked with the Santa Ana Legal Aid Society, helping people who cannot afford legal services with everything from eviction or discrimination to housing lawsuits. Kelsy spent time working with the Legal Aid Homeless Outreach Program helping homeless people with multiple legal issues.
Attorney Kelsy has worked with the Public Defender’s Office on misdemeanor and felony offenses and has assisted in mental health, veterans, and drug courts. Kelsy has professionally worked in family law, workers’ compensation, and personal injury. Kelsy today is focused on her original passion, fighting for people facing criminal matters, with passionate and exemplary representation.
