Alejandro Cordero specializes in Asylum Law and Deportation Defense. He represents non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings on Immigration Court and before The Board of Immigration Appeals. Additionally he works with clients on various immigration matters, including family-based immigration, business immigration and appearances before USCIS and ICE.
Before becoming an immigration attorney, Alejandro worked in Shanghai, China and in Latin America in international law, but his experience immigrating to the United States convinced him of pursuing a career as an immigration attorney.
Alejandro is licensed to practice law in California and in his native Costa Rica.
He has a Master of Laws degree from the University of California, Berkeley (Berkeley Law). He has a Master of International Laws degree from Shanghai University of Finance & Economics. He obtained his Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Laws degree from the Universidad Escuela Libre de Derecho, Costa Rica. He speaks English, Spanish and conversational Mandarin
